A 48-year-old barber has been charged in relation to the theft of $14 million worth of furniture from a warehouse.

He has been identified as Marlon Walker, of Fernandez Road, Kingston 6. He has been charged with warehouse breaking and larceny following an incident on Water Lane in the parish between October 25, and October 30.

Reports from the Kingston Central police are that the complainant securely locked his warehouse and left. On his return, he observed that the locks were cut and that items were missing. The police were alerted, and upon further inspection, it was revealed that several pieces of furniture amounting to $14 million were stolen from the premises.

During a review of surveillance footage, Walker was seen removing the items. He was arrested last Friday during a police operation along Princess Street in Kingston. He was charged following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney. A court date for him is being finalised.
