Illegal ammunition found on dresser

Sleuths assigned to the St Catherine South Police Division have charged 27-year-old Alex Allen, otherwise called 'Frass,' labourer of Myrtle Way, Passagefort, in the parish with unauthorised possession of ammunition following an incident at his home on Sunday.

Reports from the police are that at 5 a.m., lawmen executed a search warrant at Allen's premises. During a search of the house, a magazine along with two shotgun cartridges were found on a dresser in a bedroom occupied by Allen. He was subsequently taken into custody where he was charged.

His court date is being finalised.
