Campion notch biggest win in ISSA basketball
Campion College's under-19 team scored the biggest win in Tuesday's round of the ISSA urban basketball competition, dismantling Yallahs High 118-29.
Ryeem Marshall led the way for the winners with an impressive 34 points.
In two other Under-19 matches, Ardenne High and Bridgeport High were victorious. Ardenne dominated Kingston College (KC) 69-34, with Mohan Bonnick starring for the winners, scoring 27 points while also tallying 24 rebounds, 23 blocks, and 15 assists.
In a very close encounter, Bridgeport held off Vauxhall High 26-24.
In under-16 action, St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS) and KC came out on top. STATHS blew away Camperdown High 93-11, while KC scored a close 59-53 win over Ardenne.
RURAL ACTION
There was also action in the ISSA rural competition on Tuesday, with York Castle leading the way in the under-19 section, turning back Ocho Rios High 66-49. Christian Anderson topscored for the winners with 36 points, while Chadrick McFarlane led Ocho Rios with 23 points.
In the other under-19 game on the day, Munro College, with 17 points from Keneil Moodie, stopped Christiana High 33-26.
